Are you ready to build the world we want to live in?

THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES

Welcome to a team of ten highly ambitious people with a lot of heart. We are proud of what we do with a strong sense of ownership and engagement. Performance, quality and customer success is of utmost importance to us, but so is quality of life. There needs to be balance and we recognize that. We face daily challenges together in an environment of trust, where you are allowed to feel, to express yourself, to try and to fail. An environment of transparency and inclusion, of respect and acceptance, where we do things together and value opinions and diversity. An environment where we take care of each other and are successful because of it.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Your job as a Technical Editor will be to create and maintain spare parts documentation, creating parts lists with corresponding illustrations and organizing the information in a comprehensive way. As a team we cover the spare parts documentation for all products throughout the Volvo Construction Equipment machine range, within the process of product improvement.

Even though you will be spending a lot of time in front of your screen, mining for data and creating content, collaboration is essential. Collaboration within the team to understand and conclude on how to apply design changes coming through. Collaboration for innovation and improvement on process and product. Collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders to drive our needs as well as understanding the need of our customers.
We strive for a team approach of managing our responsibilities together. Everybody counts. Everybody contributes. Everybody is accountable.

WHO ARE YOU?

Most importantly we will value your enthusiasm, engagement and commitment! Personal characteristics and how well we believe we fit together will also be of great importance.

Other than that, the following will catch our attention:
Education within the area of Information Design or Engineering, since we value higher education and these are the academic areas closest to our line of work in our opinion
Professional experience from spare parts documentation, service manuals, operators/drivers manual, other types of technical documentation or positions in the vicinity of mentioned areas
Solid English, spoken and written, is required since we are a global function with daily international correspondence
Swedish is preferred, since that is the native language of all team members

ARE WE THE PERFECT MATCH?

In our line of work and in our position within the overall process, dependencies are extensive. To succeed and thrive in this environment you need to be agile, flexible and customer oriented. If you like puzzles and to help others understand stuff through documentation, you will fit right in! A holistic and customer oriented mindset will also serve you well when facing the not so obvious reality of our day to day.

You should have a strong drive to solve problems and getting quality information out there in time to ensure machine uptime. You will be expected to take initiative and drive deliveries independently, but we truly believe in our strength as a team first and foremost. That strength is based on an environment of trust and your values need to resonate with ours in order for us to be successful together.
We are eager to learn from you and you will get fantastic opportunities to learn and develop with us!
I'm looking forward to your application so don't wait, send it today!
