Automation and Connected Solutions is a department within Volvo CE Core Technology having the responsibility to deliver the future services for the success of our customers in the area of intelligent machines and telematics solutions. Our team is in charge of developing the Co-pilot and CareTrack platforms as well as preparing future with autonomous vehicles and cloud based site management solutions. JOB DESCRIPTION


We are looking for a Laws and Regulations Compliance Leader who will be responsible to secure our solutions are compliant with global regulations in the area of electronics, automation, radio communication and data management (EU Machinery Directive, GDPR, CE marking…). 


With support from our global laws and regulation team, you will identify the relevant regulations for our area and collaborate with development teams and suppliers, to define, communicate, support and evaluate the mandatory product requirements are fulfilled for our autonomous and connected solutions. 


As a leader of this area for our department, you will also be in charge to define, deploy and maintain the best way to handle efficiently those compliance requirements, so that they can be easily accessed, shared, updated, reused and audited.


In addition, you will be part of the relevant working groups and networks to review and contribute to the development of the regulatory compliance standards and the maintenance of our management system. You will also be in charge to perform training and audits of our projects on relevant standards and development processes.


WHO ARE YOU?


You have a strong engineering background (preferably in Embedded Software) with deep knowledge of the product development process and are experienced in standard and regulation management (preferably in machinery or automotive area). You have experience in driving change in cross-functional teams and have proven leadership, communication and pedagogical skills.


Self-driven, structured, supportive, positive, open minded with a make it happen mindset are the key behaviors that will allow you to succeed for this position.

In Europe we are 7 lawyers; 2 at the head office in Gothenburg, 4 at the Brussels office and 1 in Eskilstuna and this is also where you will be based. You will be sitting in an open landscape which we share with nice and helpful colleagues from other departments within our company.What will you do, as a Legal Assistant? As a Legal Assistant your main task is to assist the Legal Counsel in Eskilstuna, to manage the Agreement Archive for Volvo CE AB, to manage the legal department’s team place with template agreements and to handle company registrations with the Swedish Authority for Company Registrations (“Bolagsverket”). The work may also from time to time include assistance to other Volvo CE lawyers in Europe. You will report to the Legal Counsel in Eskilstuna. The assistance to Legal Counsel in Eskilstuna will include:Assistance in preparing agreements, other legal documents and communication (internal and external)Registration of the legal cases we work withPerform meeting- and travel planningPlanning and arranging legal training sessionsAssist in preparing presentationsParticipate in budget planningInvoice handling and other dealings related to the cost center of Legal Department in EskilstunaAssist in the legal audit processHandle notarization and legislation of documentsIn addition to the assistance to the legal counsel, it will be your responsibility to manage the agreement filing system including registration of the agreements and other legal documents.
