Job description
This is an exciting role that provides you with the circumstances to not only develop your skills and build your career but also have a great impact on Outokumpu as a company. The primary objective is to lead and execute process changes to ensure that we meet the requirements our customers set for our products. You will also partake, or lead product development projects intended to improve the products we have and greatly influence the stainless steel we can produce in the future. You will cooperate closely with professionals in multiple departments across Outokumpu in Nyby.
Additionally, you will participate in a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training and become responsible for improvement projects. You will also get an opportunity to share your knowledge in Outokumpu’s international graduate development program called Form your Future.

What we are looking for
To qualify for this role, you will need:
Recent Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Material Technology or equivalent
Maximum 2 years of work experience preferably working with industry furnaces
Training in project management and Maximo/SAP is highly valued
Strong interest to develop cross-functional and international and willingness to travel
High career aspirations with a hands-on attitude and enjoy taking own responsibility
Eagerness to learn and develop and to work in fields new to you
Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken) is required

JOB DESCRIPTION
Operational responsibility for the team delivery. Delivers according to defined methods, expected inputs and outputs. Lead system engineering in a technical team and play an active role in the delivery. Drive the work from an operational and short-term perspective. Integrate deliveries from others. Responsibility for securing quality and readiness before release. Participate in specification implementation and verification loops to secure system aspects of the solution. Secure that system and non-functional requirements are correctly implemented. Implement system architecture strategies and roadmaps up to the delivery in the end product. Lead concept investigations with teams. Steer exploration of alternatives to establish a system level concept together with teams. Actively support product manager in clarifying needs of capabilities/enablers and breaking down those to features/enablers.

Tasks:
• Establish plans for functional safety
• Take part and support in Functional Hazard Analyze (FHA) and Fault Tree Analyzes (FTA)
• Investigate different error classes and their effects (FMEA)
• Define safety requirements on different safety levels
• Take part in system design and design changes
• Review of safety related analyzes performed by external suppliers
• Create and maintain a Hazard Tracking System
• Define and evaluate safety related verification methods
• Gather evidence/argumentation for functional safety and safety reports (Safety case)
• Define safety case for Safety element out of context system (SEooC)
• Analyze tool chain
• Ensure successful safety assessment


COMPETENCE/ EXPERIENCE:
• BSc or MSc degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Embedded system development
• Requirement management
• Relevant experience of risk and fault analyses of systems
• Relevant knowledge about functional safety standards, for example IEC61508, ISO 13849, ISO26262
• Ability to work as a team member but also independently
